This is how your tattoo stays sharp.
The first two weeks decide how your tattoo heals. These are our basic rules; your artist's advice always comes first.
The first hours
Leave the foil or second skin on as your artist explained. Wash your hands before you touch the tattoo.
Washing
Two to three times a day, gently, with lukewarm water and a mild, unscented soap. Pat dry, do not rub, with a clean towel or kitchen paper.
Moisturising
A thin layer of the cream we recommend. Thin is the keyword: the skin needs to breathe.
Sun, water and sport
Two to four weeks without sunbed, pool, sauna or long exposure to the sun. Sweating is fine, soaking is not.
Itching and scabs
Do not scratch and do not pick at scabs; they fall off by themselves. Itching is normal and part of healing.
In doubt?
Send us a photo via WhatsApp. Better one question too many than a sharp tattoo that suffers needlessly.
Come by again after a month.
We check whether everything has settled nicely and whether a small touch-up is needed anywhere.
